Speech delay, autism and ADHD are more common than most people think, and every child's path is different. Progress is not a race. It is one word, one smile, one day at a time.
"Different is not less. It's just a different way of seeing the world."
Many children start talking later than others. Seeing, hearing and saying the same words every day helps those words grow.
A different way of experiencing the world. Calm, predictable pages with real pictures can make new words and new situations feel safer.
Busy minds focus best on one clear thing at a time. Short, simple pages make it easier to stay with the word.
Chiqoo books support your child's therapy. They do not replace advice from your doctor or speech therapist.
Things many families find helpful. Try one this week.
Soft blues, greens and warm neutrals feel calmer than bright red, neon or busy prints.
Show the day in photos: wake, brush, eat, play, sleep. Knowing what comes next reduces worry.
A small corner with a cushion, soft light and a favourite toy, where your child can rest.
Read the book at the same time daily, after dinner or before bed. Routine builds comfort.
Everywhere, there's small print. Rules, limits, exceptions. Not here. Every child deserves patience, play and pure love.

Deepika was an animator. She spent her days giving life to characters, one frame at a time. Then Varnam came into her life, and life asked her for a different kind of art.
When Varnam was diagnosed with autism, Deepika put down her drawing tablet and became his full-time mother. Therapy sessions, new routines, long nights, and small wins that nobody else noticed. She noticed every one.
A 13-year-old son growing into his own world. In-laws whose health needs daily care. A husband at work, a home to run, meals, medicines and appointments. Deepika held every thread, and still found the energy each night to sit with Varnam and a picture book.
The books she found were loud. Bright cartoon colours, busy patterns, objects Varnam had never seen. He looked at the colours, not the words. And the pages tore within weeks. So the artist in her woke up. She began making her own pages, with real photos of the real things in his world: his cup, his fan, his Diwali.
Slowly, page by page, Varnam began to connect the pictures to the things around him. And Deepika began to see something bigger than a book: a way to meet children where they are, with patience instead of pressure.
"We keep trying to pull our children into our world. What if we stepped into theirs?"
That one question became Chiqoo, and the reason behind unconditional love*.
Chiqoo is made at our dining table and tested by our most honest critic, Varnam. Deepika believes the world becomes a better place the moment we start to understand our children's world. Every book is a small step towards that world: for her son, for your child, and for every parent who is tired but never gives up.
If you are reading this late at night after a long day: you are doing better than you think. Start with one page tonight.
